Kanji Look and Learn Workbook provides the exercises missing from the main textbook. It covers the same 512 kanji across three parts: 160 characters at N5, 160 at N4, and 192 at N3.
Each unit has basic drills for writing practice, reading words in example sentences, and converting between kanji and hiragana. There are also applied exercises that combine kanji and vocabulary with longer reading passages, so you're practising characters in context rather than in isolation.
If you have the textbook, this is the part where you actually learn. Practising kanji in sentences and short passages builds the recognition you'll need when you move on to graded readers.
