JLPT Speed Master N2 Kanji

JLPT Speed Master N2 Kanji covers close to 400 N2-level kanji and over 1000 compound words across 10 thematic units. Each unit has five topics with two-page spreads: kanji, readings, stroke order, and key vocabulary on the left, three practice drills on the right. Every kanji includes a core meaning in English. A separate section covers new readings for N3-N5 kanji you already know. It includes two mock tests. Answers and translations are in a separate booklet with English and Vietnamese support.

At this level, you will need Anki or a dedicated vocabulary book alongside any kanji drill book. All three N2 kanji books are drill books with different formats. Choose the one you like best. Speed Master drills you on kanji by topic with three exercise types per spread. Sou Matome teaches kanji through real-world situations over an 8-week schedule. Shin Kanzen Master is a writing-heavy workbook with CD dictation exercises across 53 lessons and teaches how compound words are formed, but it's entirely in Japanese with no translations. Speed Master and Sou Matome both include English translations.
