Shin Kanzen Master N2 Vocabulary covers 2,283 words with 995 practice questions. The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 organises vocabulary by topic and situation, Part 2 organises by word type, including words with multiple meanings, similar-looking words, similar-meaning words, adverbs, onomatopoeia, idiomatic expressions, and word formation. Each lesson has basic practice to confirm meaning and usage, then exam-format practice. There are two mock tests at the end. Answers are in a separate 32-page booklet.

Opinions are split on this one. The volume of content is impressive, with nearly 1,000 practice questions, and the way adverbs are introduced gradually across lessons rather than all at once is well thought out. But some learners find it overwhelming and demotivating to work through. If you prefer a lighter, more approachable format for vocabulary, So-matome covers less ground but is easier to get through.
