Shin Kanzen Master N4 Vocabulary covers 690 words across 50 lessons, with 6 review sections and a mock test. Each lesson introduces a small group of words and immediately tests them two ways: confirmation questions to check you understand the meaning, and exam-format questions that mirror the actual JLPT. The book also covers common prefixes and suffixes and transitive/intransitive verbs. Comes with English and Vietnamese translations and an 18-page answer booklet.

Most of these 690 words will be familiar if you've worked through Genki or Minna no Nihongo. What you're paying for here is the exam-format drilling. Each lesson is short and tells you quickly whether a word has stuck. Most other N4 prep series fold vocabulary into a combined book, so this is one of the few dedicated drill books for vocab at this level. Not a priority purchase, but solid if vocabulary is your weak spot.
